Ted McHugh, the owner and operator of McHugh Builders, is a lifelong resident of Brigantine, where he continues to live today. His construction journey began early, working in his father’s flooring company as a young man. Ted continued to build his experience in construction throughout his early 20s before pursuing a B.S. in Engineering Technology at Temple University.
With a specialization in construction management, Ted gained valuable experience working for a major mechanical contractor near Philadelphia. Over his 9-year tenure, he advanced to the role of senior project manager, overseeing projects at prestigious institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania, CHOP, and Villanova University.
Driven by his passion for residential building, Ted founded McHugh Builders in 2019. Since then, the company has grown into a leading custom home builder in the South Jersey region.
